Hello world! Welcome to Modo Transportation’s CBEL Group for CIVL 202!

CBEL Project

The CBEL (Community-Based Experiential Learning Project) allows undergraduate students to implement their classroom knowledge into solving real life problems with real clients. For our project, we are performing a feasibility study and creating an infographic for Modo, a transportation company.

Modo Transportation

Modo Transportation (previously known as Car Co-op) has been offering a car-sharing service in the Metro Vancouver community for a long time. However, it has yet to make a strong impression in the community. This project will strive to offer innovative yet effective ideas and solutions to increase Modo Transportation’s place in the industry.

Vancouver’s Community

As the number of cars on the road increase each year,  Vancouver’s bold initiative of becoming the greenest city in the world by 2020 will be challenged as carbon footprint in the city will have to be reduced. Modo Transportation’s services does not only provide convenience to the people of Vancouver, but with fewer cars would be on the road there will be less carbon emissions and traffic in parts of the city.

Team

Below are the fellows trying to make this initiative happen!

Thank you for taking the time to read the blog. We will be updating our progress soon!
