Professional Development—The Pursuit of Lifelong Learning Starts Here.
As an educator of others it is important to embody the essence of what you preach. Teachers should be lifelong learners, not only to advance their own career, but to help students reach their full potential. Teachers need to be continually and actively engaged in their own learning throughout their career to maintain their standards of excellence. Professional development together with other learning opportunities equips teachers with the tools and knowledge needed to impact teacher growth and student learning.
Thus, one of my primary goals will be the promotion of my continuous career long, professional growth. My professional development will take on many forms and will constitute a process of personal growth through programs, services and activities designed to enable my teachings, individually or collectively, to enhance my professional practice.
