  • What does the position of nutrition educator entail?

Here is a detailed description of your position as a Nutrikids Ambassador.

  • What is the time commitment like?

The time commitment varies among groups, depending on when teachers want to complete the workshops. The overview of the program includes working with a group of 3-4 other volunteers and completing 4 or more workshops by the end of the elementary school year (June 2019). You would have from October 2018-June 2019 to complete your workshops as agreed with the teacher. Workshops, on average, are 1-1.5 hours while planning out the content of workshops and preparing supplies can take 1-3 hours.

  • What is the reimbursement process?

Reimbursements are done at the end of the second term. All receipts need to be stapled to a completed teacher evaluation form, and deposited in locker #51 in McMillan (near Agora on the first floor) by the end of the month.  Your name and pod number must be written on the bundle of receipts, and only 1 person from every pod will be reimbursed.

If your envelope will not fit in the locker, the combination is right 3 turns, 11, left one turn, 24, right turn to 37.

Additionally, receipts will only be reimbursed if they fill the following 3 criteria:

              a)    Are the original receipt (no photos please)

              b)   Only include items bought for Nutrikids

              c)    Must have an individual item listing (so I can see what exactly was purchased)
