Humala único seguro en segunda vuelta, según sondeos extraoficiales

El candidato de Unión por el Perú, Ollanta Humala, habría asegurado su pase a segunda vuelta según datos extraoficiales de las encuestadoras que le otorgan el primer lugar en las elecciones presidenciales. Alan García (APRA) y Lourdes Flores (Unidad Nacional) se disputan el segundo lugar.
De acuerdo con los resultados de la empresa Apoyo, Opinión y Mercado, difundidos por América Televisión y Canal N, Humala Tasso obtuvo el 29.6% de los votos; Alan García (APRA), obtiene el 24.5% y Lourdes Flores, de Unidad Nacional, tiene el 24.2% de las preferencias.
Sin embargo, para la Compañía Peruana de Investigación de Mercado (CPI), el candidato nacionalista obtuvo, en sus muestreos realizados entre los electores, el 30.1% de los votos. La candidata Flores alcanzó el 25.8% y Alan García se alzó con el 24.0%, de acuerdo con el sondeo difundido por la estación de televisión ATV.
La encuestadora Datum señala que Humala Tasso tiene un 29.2%. Los resultados difundidos por la estación Frecuencia Latina, señalan que Flores Nano y García Pérez disputan una reñida pelea por ingresar a la segunda vuelta con el 24.4% y 24.1% respectivamente.
La encuestadora Peruana de Opinión Pública (POP) declara un empate en el segundo lugar al otorgarle al APRA y Unidad Nacional un 25%. Ollanta Humala salió primero con 30%. La encuesta fue difundida por Panamericana Televisión.

It seems like the hate-campaign of Toledo and the others against Humala has, in the end, had no effect. Interesting to see who of Flores and Garcia will come second, and how Flores/Garcia voters would vote in a second round with either of the candidates out of the race.

The American media bias against George W. Bush does not compare to what has been going on against Ollanta.

I just returned from Peru, and it would be sad to see the gains over the last five years be lost by a President whose only real motive is to lash out against G W Bush. Granted Bush is a horrible president but why trash a good thing for him!

I take exception to your comment that Bush is a horrible president. USA is experiencing an economic boom right now, Bush has liberated Afghanistan, got rid of Saddam Hussein, has prevented any further terrorist attacks on the US, the stock market is up, the list goes on.
Iraq has not gone as well as planned but history will kindly look upon the war in Iraq as the spark that brought peace and prosperity to the middle east.
Peru should cheer if their new president is even half as good as GWB.

GWB is the worst president that this nation has had. What economic boom are you talking about? In the US, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, having its largest wealth gap ever. I hope that Peruvians elect someone who is the opposite of Bush, Americans are suffering right now because of the domestic and foreign policies that GWB has created. We are going backwards instead of forward!! Peruvians will be smarter and elect a President that will be for Peruvians and that will actually listen to the people instead of this imbecile that we have in the white house right now.
I understand the worries of many people, but we can agree that the results are not so unexpected.
In any case, I dont think Ollanta can be compared with Hugo Chavez. I dont see how Ollanta can be like Chavez as he has not really presented any truly radical platform (except for the apparently necessary and demagogic rethoric in Latin American campaigns).
In any case, the biggest fear that Peruvians should have is Ollanta’s lack of political experience which can contribute to the instability of the country. More than dangerous he is a confused (or confusing) politician.
