Our club endeavours to connect students with lawyers who practice IP law in Vancouver.  We have two main events.  In the fall semester, we hold a career panel with alumni who practice IP law to talk about their practice and career path.  In the spring semester, we host a mixer with IP lawyers at a downtown location.

At the Careers in IP Law panel, we had four panelists practicing both in large and mid-size firms, as well as in-house at technology firms. Unfortunately, the spring mixer had to be canceled due to the ongoing health emergency. Our events provide an excellent opportunity to connect with IP lawyers directly and learn about careers in IP law.  Moving forward to the 2020 – 2021 academic year, we look forward to moving our club’s activities online to continue facilitating networking and learning about IP law.
