Asia Pacific Law Club

The Asia Pacific Law Club (APLC) is a student organization at the Peter A. Allard School of Law. Founded in 1989, the club strives to promote diversity and inclusion for Asian law students in today’s legal and business environment by connecting law students to mentors in the legal profession. At APLC, you will find a supportive community of like-minded students at the law school.

Whether you wish to build connections with legal professionals, learn more about what an Asia Pacific-focused law practice looks like, or envision a more inclusive legal environment (both inside and outside of Allard), the APLC community is here for you!

To start off each school year, APLC usually hosts an ice breaker event where students can come together to make new friends and catch up with old ones. This year, APLC will be joining your Orientation Coordinators in hosting a Zoom hangout on August 6th at 7pm (PDT). Moreover, although many events are being moved online this year, APLC plans on holding an in-person (and socially distanced) event for all new and existing club members to have fun and connect with each other.

In addition to social events where students can engage with their colleagues, APLC also offers other professional development opportunities that provide a more structured way for students to connect with legal professionals. In the past, APLC has organized career panels, firm tours, and mentorship programs. If you are interested in online / in-person ice breakers and career panels, please fill out this survey so we can cater our events to your interest. You can also sign up for our mailing list within the survey. Lastly, if you have any questions or suggestions, you can reach out to us at aplcubc@gmail.com.

More fun and exciting events are on their way as well, so feel free to connect with us on Facebook and Instagram to get all the updates! Congratulations again to the incoming class of 2023!
