Meet Katie: Katie is originally an Islander hailing from a farm in Qualicum. When she was growing up you could find her enjoying the great outdoors or with the 20 horses at the farm. Katie moved to Victoria to study geography and environmental studies. Katie’s love for being outdoors and all things nature is what attracted her to this program.
Katie also loves travel. She has backpacked around: Norway, England, Scotland, France, Italy, Greece, Brazil, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru to name a few. Ask her about the flamingos when you run into her next. Katie and her fiancée Steve (they are getting married in July) moved to Vancouver in just over a year ago. Now you can find her jogging around the Mountain View Cemetery or gardening.
