On Thursday, June 4th and 5th, 2015, more than 1,200 Okanagan campus students will walk across the stage to receive their UBC degree in front of family and friends. UBC Okanagan’s Ceremonies & Events is still in search for volunteers to help make important memories for these students. Here are some ways you can get involved as a volunteer:

Alumni Tent: Welcome grads and their families to the UBC family and assist with validating their A-Cards; take photos in the courtyard with the ‘alumni’ camera; help with framing grad degrees.

Gown and Hood Pinners: Assist grads with pinning their hoods to their gown.

Student Marshals: Lead the student processions from the Fipke Centre to the Gymnasium and back after the ceremony has concluded.

Faculty Marshals: Lead the faculty processions from the central courtyard to the Gymnasium and back after the ceremony has concluded.

Ushers: Welcome and direct guests to their seats, hand out programs, assist guests with accessible seating, direct families to the photo area and provide guest support as needed.

If you are interested to volunteer, please register online by Wednesday May 13th.
