ES Staff Milestones: 35 years!

Bing Wong, Undergraduate Admissions

In late April, Bing was one of 23 staff members inducted into UBC’s exclusive 35 Year Club. Congratulations, Bing!

Before joining Enrolment Services, Bing worked for 12 years at Media Services in the Photography Department and for 13 years at the IT Services Print Shop. Maybe these positions have something to do with the fabulous photo he has shared with us!

Bing has been an important part of the ES family for the last decade, and he is currently the Document Coordinator for Undergraduate Admissions.

Outside of work, Bing enjoys spending time with his wife Judi and son Nathaniel, but he says that UBC also feels like home since he has been here longer than he’s been a family man!

Bing also enjoys hunting for cheap guitars on Ebay, Craigslist, and flea markets, so if you have an old guitar around, ask Bing before you sell it!

One thing Bing misses about his early days at UBC is the 25 cents a day parking in B-Lot. Remember B-Lot?

Bing’s cheerful, positive, and helpful attitude, make him a pleasure to work with. His dedication to UBC is inspiring and we are all lucky to have him as a colleague! Congratulations on 35 years of service Bing!
