Inquiry A

Listening to Sugata Mitra highlighted for me the power of collaboration. His young subjects were able to learn through technology by working together. We need to let our students explore and collaborate to learn. Collaboration has huge implications. It promotes understanding through articulation, negotiation, and reflection. It encourages meta cognition.

We often assume that our students are not capable and rush in to help or provide scaffolding where it is not needed. Are we disabling our students?
