UBC Animal Welfare Judging Team Fundraising – donate by Dec 4, 2015 (deadline extended)

Please help support the University of British Columbia’s team participating at the Intercollegiate Animal Welfare Assessment Competition at the Ohio State University! We are a team of nine passionate undergraduate students learning how to assess the physical and psychological health of animals on farms, zoos, and in working environments. Through your support, we will have the opportunity to compete against other schools across North America and beyond. This is an exciting way for us to further our understanding of complex animal welfare issues, improve our critical thinking and public speaking skills, and get to meet others interested in the field.  Last year was UBC’s first time participating in this competition, and the team placed 4th out of 11 teams! We hope to continue this excellent showing for this year’s competition and are actively raising funds to support our efforts.

Please help send the team to compete by visiting their fundraising page: https://support.ubc.ca/projects/support-our-students-in-the-animal-welfare-judging-and-assessment-contest/.
