Role in Oil: All of the products wheat is sources in Canada, however getting the wheat to final bread stage requires the use of energy and a lot of it. Wheat is processed from its original source. Processing wheat requires cleaning, grinding and enriching the product. All of these steps require fossil fuels (Dempsters, 2011).

Delivery: Dempsters has several bakery locations around  the country under the Canada Bread Company. Each product is locally made , however, the wheat is likely transported from Alberta, Manitoba or Saskatchewan. I was thinking that there is no way around the fact the wheat products will likely come from out of province (Dempsters,2011).

Packaging: Dempters bread products come in a plastic bag. I was thinking that if I was to buy my bread fresh in store, I would eliminate the use of plastic that typically protects the bread product.
