Weather Advisory – Your Classes in the Event of Snow

In response to extreme weather conditions, the University may decide to cancel or reschedule academic activities and curtail non-essential services.

In the event that there is no university-wide class cancellation announcement, but there is an inclement weather warning in effect,  your instructor may also opt to adjust the scheduled in-person class. Please monitor your Canvas Announcements and email for any further direction and information from your instructors, as well as ubc.ca for the most up-to-date information about campus-wide class cancellations.

Generally, UBC’s goal is to communicate these decisions by 6:00am for morning and afternoon Learning Activities, and no later than 3:00pm for evening Learning Activities.

Update your bookmarks! Introducing the redesigned myUBCDAP

Hello DAP students,

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the upgraded and redesigned myUBCDAP, the DAP student portal. With a refreshed interface and additional resources, the student portal will enhance the way you navigate your academic journey in the program.

So, what can you expect from the new student portal?

  • Easy Access to Information: myUBCDAP serves as your hub for all things related to DAP. From program planning resources, course schedules, program policies and important deadlines, you’ll have access to crucial information that will help you stay organized and on top of your studies.
  • myUBCDAP Dashboard: The myUBCDAP Dashboard is an exclusive portal for DAP students with content including registration, course outlines, receipts, resources and more. You access the Dashboard via the top right “Dashboard” button found on the myUBCDAP top navigation panel. Note: Access to the myUBCDAP Dashboard content is authenticated through UBC’s Campus Wide Login (CWL); as such, students must have a CWL in order to access this content.
  • News & Announcements: The old myUBCDAP blog has been updated to the myUBCDAP News & Announcements page. Stay informed about DAP events, career workshops, seminars, and other university announcements. You will continue to receive the weekly ICYMI emails that recaps the new posts made each week.

Please take some time to explore the portal and familiarize yourself with its functionalities. Some old pages may still be accessible, but will be phased out during this transition and no longer be updated.

Your feedback is invaluable to us as we strive to refine and optimize the student portal. Please contact the DAP office at dap@sauder.ubc.ca if you have any questions or comments about the new portal. We look forward to hearing your thoughts as we continue to innovate and enhance your student experience.
