Join us for a free professional headshot session, network with fellow DAP students, and learn about how to prepare for CPA Spring Recruit and future employment opportunities.

  • Birmingham Room, Main Level, Henry Angus Building, UBC

  • 4:00 – 6:00 pm

What’s included:

  • Free professional LinkedIn headshot
  • Free pizza, while it lasts!

Attire:

  • The headshots will be taken from waist-up, so professional attire on the top is recommended. Jeans are okay.

Do you have a live-online class on Monday or Thursday night?

  • Don’t worry, we booked ANGU 350 from 6:30PM – 9:30PM for any students who wish to use the space for hybrid learning
  • Please remember to bring headphones as you’ll be sharing the space with other students

Join us at an upcoming UBC Sauder ESG-panel event, featuring executives from Vancity Investment Management, CPABC, and TELUS – Thursday, February 8th, 5 pm

UBC DAP students are invited to attend a special ESG-themed panel event, hosted by UBC Sauder Continuing Business Studies and the Centre for Business & Climate Solutions.

Hear from the following panelists, moderated by Kookai Chaimahawong, Executive Director of the new UBC Sauder Centre for Business & Climate Solutions:

  • Kelly Hirsch, Head of ESG at Vancity Investment Management
  • Lori Mathison, President & CEO at CPABC
  • Geoff Pegg, Head of Sustainability and Environment at TELUS

Learn about how businesses are navigating the intricacies of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) implementation, such as managing stakeholder expectations and the inherent tension between short-term profitability and long-term sustainability commitments. This event is a must-attend for students interested in learning about ESG’s impact on finance and accounting, and how to implement sustainable business solutions that will have a positive impact on the planet.

Weather Advisory – Your Classes in the Event of Snow

In response to extreme weather conditions, the University may decide to cancel or reschedule academic activities and curtail non-essential services.

In the event that there is no university-wide class cancellation announcement, but there is an inclement weather warning in effect,  your instructor may also opt to adjust the scheduled in-person class. Please monitor your Canvas Announcements and email for any further direction and information from your instructors, as well as ubc.ca for the most up-to-date information about campus-wide class cancellations.

Generally, UBC’s goal is to communicate these decisions by 6:00am for morning and afternoon Learning Activities, and no later than 3:00pm for evening Learning Activities.
