Course tuition fees and additional UBC student fees

Effective for courses starting May 2025, tuition fees are $842.72 per 3-credit course and due at the time of registration.

Student fees are charged to all students for the academic year from September 1 to August 31st and are calculated according to full-time or part-time status and academic program type. These fees are assessed by and payable to UBC directly.

Your fee assessment and corresponding payment instructions and deadlines are available on Workday, through your Finances App.

A detailed breakdown of fees can be found in the UBC Calendar. Should you wish to opt-out of any of the eligible fees, please make sure to submit your request to the appropriate office by the stated deadlines. UBC Enrolment Services is the sole authority for the assessment and collection of these fees. Any questions related to the fee assessments should be directed to their office. The DAP office has no authority to adjust fee assessments or provide extensions on these deadlines.

If you have a credit balance on your student account on your Workday and wish to request a refund, please contact Enrolment Services.

Did you know?

Winter Term 2 fees are due immediately upon registration for students enrolled in Winter Term 1 courses.

Financial holds

Failure to pay outstanding tuition and/or UBC & AMS student fees will result in a financial hold being placed on your student record. This will block access to course registration, grades, and the issuing of official transcripts. UBC may also charge interest on accounts with outstanding fees. Please refer to the Late Payment of Fees in the UBC Calendar for further information.
