Learn about the many sources of financial aid available to CPA PEP candidates and students, such as CPA Education Foundation’s scholarships and bursaries, and many employers who provide financial support to candidates enrolled in CPA PEP.

Job seekers will also learn who are BC’s Top 100 Employers 2023, and the Government of BC’s new Pay Transparency Act and why this is a step in the right direction to support job seekers towards fair and equitable pay.
 
Audience members will have the opportunity to ask their own questions to the panelists during the live Q&A portion of this event.

Career Guidance with CPA’s

Please join CPABC’s Surrey/Langley/North Delta Chapter’s upcoming event: Career Guidance with CPA’s on November 16, 2023, 5:30-8:30PM at the Guildford Golf Club in Surrey. This event includes a moderated panel discussion with senior finance professionals from CPA careers in two main sectors – public practice and industry. You will be able to network with the panelists and learn about life after the designation and the transformation of the finance function. Light refreshments will be provided.

CPABC/CPAWSB IFAC Presentation
OnlineDesignated accounting professionals (active and in good standing) from an international accounting body that is listed as a ‘Member Organization’ of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) are eligible to apply for CPAWSB IFAC Member Assessment for advanced standing into the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). 
 
CPABC and CPAWSB guest speakers will present an overview of the academic and work experience exemptions (bridging) granted under this pathway, explain the steps on how to apply, documents required, fees and duration of the CPA program. Participants will also learn about the examination materials available to them, academic and employment resources, and much more. Learn how to start and what to expect as an IFAC member in this live webinar. Includes audience Q&A.

All aspects of the PER will be covered in detail, including the PER competencies, gaining paid experience while in post-secondary, tracking experience, and career exploration to prepare for employment after graduation. The presentation will conclude with an open question and answer period with CPABC.

This session is for current or graduating students of Post-Secondary Institution, including the CPA Western School of Business, who are NOT yet enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program.
