Situated in the southern part of Salt Spring Island, the Garry Oak Meadows restoration project is located on the unceded territory of the Coast Salish people, including the Cowichan, Tsawwassen, Tsawout, Malahat and Tseycum.  Since time beyond remembering, these Indigenous People have honoured and cared for the life, land, and water around them.  We gratefully acknowledge these land keepers and are continually inspired by their awesome legacy.
