As I described in another post, I’ve been developing hands-on activities for our introductory, gen-ed “Astro 101” courses at UBC. These activities have little mathematics, relying more often on graphs and qualitative relationships rather than calculations. At the moment, you can find activities for
- exploring extrasolar planets (added July 2011)
- phases of the Moon (added 6 September 2011)
- path of the Sun (added 7 September 2011)
- decoding starlight (added 14 September 2011)
