What can you do at SALA?

SALA offers resources for both physical and digital fabrication. For digital fabrication, the laser cutters, 3D printers, plotters, and the CNC are all readily accessible to students. For these resource locations, please review our facilities overview.

For physical fabrication, our comprehensive woodworking shop provides all tools required to produce anything from small models to full-sized building components.

For shop related issues, please contact the workshop at workshop@sala.ubc.ca.

For IT and plotting related issues: contact SALA’s plotter tech, submit a ticket online, call the IT desk at 604-822-2008, or see someone in person at the help desk on the main floor of the Koerner Library.
