Brainstorming was the main action for this assignment to identify a problem in a workplace for further exploration, analyzes and providing thoughtful recommendations. With several meaningful pieces of advice from Dr. Paterson, I focused on the issue of how to improve mental health and wellness of graduate students of the Interdisciplinary Oncology program at the BC Cancer Research Center.
After a while, I posted another assignment related to Formal Report – Progress Report with surveys. I experienced some difficulties during the formulation of survey questions. Business letters are a pivotal part of professional communication. In purpose to elaborate strategy for creating powerful business documents, I wrote two letters about the experience of getting inappropriate quality products from the supplier company. In the first letter, I described the problem asking the representative of the company about the reimbursement (letter of complaint). In the second letter, excuses were expressed and proposed a few possible ways for solving the problem. Both letters were written in a friendly manner with reader-centered writing.
