Our club hosts three regular events and other fun events as planned by our Events team throughout the year. The three regular events are our “Project Paws“, “Speaker Series“, and “ROAR” (previously DDR), which takes place once a year. Our goal is to host at least 2 events per month, and as such, our Events team plans additional events including Crafts days (such as Bullet Journaling workshops), “Cafe” open-mic events, and others to help students relax and have fun! Please read on to find out more information about these events and for our Events calendar, which is regularly updated to display our upcoming events. In addition, stay up to date by liking or following our Facebook page here. We hope to see you soon! 🙂
- In our most popular series of events, we work with BC Pets & Friends to bring trained therapy dogs to UBC’s Vancouver campus 10 to 12 times per school year!
- If you are part of a residence, undergraduate society, or another club: we are open to collaborations! Please sign-up here.
“Reach Out and Run (ROAR)”
- ROAR is our main outreach, promotional, and only fundraising event of the year, held in collaboration with the Thunderbird Athletes’ Council. The goal is to bring the UBC community together to raise awareness for and support positive mental health, as well as promote and raise funds for both MHAC and the Mood Disorders Society of Canada.
- Formerly known as “Defeat Depression Run”.
