VR/AR Tomorrow

In five years, education is projected to be one of the leading sectors for VR/AR (virtual and augmented) investments. Currently, 80% of US K-12 teachers have access to VR/AR devices, but only 7% use them for teaching (Statista). As VR/AR start-ups expand rapidly in Canada, providing Canadian STEM Teachers and future educators  the necessary skills and resources to harness the potentials of VR/AR technology in education is a necessity.

This VR/AR Blogs is being managed by the Department of Curriculum and Pedagogy at UBC. It is funded by UBC TLEF (Teaching and Learning Enhancement Fund). It aims to provide teacher-candidates, teachers, graduate students, and STEM Teachers opportunity and ability to use publicly available VR/AR resources and evaluate how such resources facilitate and impact teaching-learning.
