It is the first year that the Canadian Cancer Societies Relay for Life will be taking place at UBC! The event will take place on March 2nd from 7pm-7am in the SUB Ballroom. To get involved, you can either start or join a team and begin fundraising! The teams are usually made up of 10-15 people and each teammate is encouraged to raise, a minimum of, $100.00. One person from each team is asked to be on the track at all times over the 12 hour relay (running, walking, skipping…). There will be a lot of great off-track entertainment and activities for the other group members. Raising $100.00 is really easy to do as you can get your family and friends to donate online! The more money raised, the bigger impact against cancer. We challenge each floor to form a team and help us fight back for a future without cancer! Funds raised help the Canadian Cancer Society save lives by investing in outstanding cancer research, offering caring cancer support services, and leading prevention initiatives.
