Call for Submissions

We invite submissions of projects using behavioural science to explore business for social good, which we define as business actions that benefit the planet and the people that live on it. This can include integrating social responsibility, sustainability, equity and inclusion, and reconciliation into business strategy and operations. It can also include providing options for individuals and communities to choose healthy, prosocial, and sustainable behaviours that have a collective positive impact.

Here are some examples of the types of research talks we are interested in:

  • Perceptions and outcomes of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Encouraging Justice, Equity, Decolonization, Diversity, Indigenization, and Inclusion
  • Cause related marketing, philanthropy, promoting diversity, promoting prosocial actions, and ethical (unethical) business practices
  • Unique models of business that have social impact
  • Encouraging positive behaviors such as prosocial behaviors (e.g., donating money and volunteering), sustainable behaviors, citizenship behaviors, etc.

The conference will have:

  • Research talks: Competitive paper submissions about completed research projects, maximum of 15 minutes to present and 4 minutes to take questions.
  • Lightning round talks: Working paper submissions about research in progress, maximum of 5 minutes to present and 1 minute to take questions. This session will be followed by time for general discussion.

To submit a research project for presentation at the conference, please use the submission portal, which requires basic project information, a brief description for inclusion in the program, and a short abstract (approx. 500 words). The deadline for submission is 11:59pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2023.
