The University of Washington’s Resilience Lab has released a Well-Being for Life and Learning Guidebook. Although it is focused on helping instructors design learning environments that promote student well-being, the resource can be applied more broadly. It combines research, best practices, and personal testimony around supporting the whole person and promoting resilience and compassion. The core ideas include:
- Teaching for equity and access
- Nurturing connection
- Building resilience coping skills
- Connecting to the environment
