Conferences
Regardless of your programme, going to and/or presenting at academic conferences can be a great way for you to broaden your perspectives, get to know your academic community and your field, and find opportunities for research, publication, and/or professional development. Furthermore, funding is also available for EDST students to cover some or all their conference expenses (please see below for more information).

It is not exhaustive and will be constantly updated. Please contact us if you would like to contribute an event to this list. Funding for EDST Students
Funding to cover students’ travel and conference expenses is available from four main sources. Details presented on this page is for information only. Please refer to the websites of each grant/award for up-to-date information.
- Faculty of Education Graduate Student Conference Travel Grant
Maximum coverage: CAD750 per degree (information as of September 2018)
N.B.: Student must be presenting at the conference - G+PS Graduate Student Travel Fund
Maximum coverage: CAD500 per degree (information as of September 2018)
N.B.: Student must be presenting at the conference - EDST Graduate Student Travel and Research Presentation Funding
Maximum coverage: CAD2,000 per degree (information as of September 2018)
N.B.: Student must have exhausted awards by Faculty of Education and G+PS (i.e. 1 and 2) before they may apply for EDST funding. Student must also be presenting at the conference - Funding by Conference Associations / Organisers
Some scholarly associations and/or conference organisers may also award student presenters full or partial funding on a competitive or needs-based basis. Please consult with the association(s) and/or organiser(s) to find out if such awards are available
