In Syria children ae going to school under traumatizing situations and denied freedom for getting educated without fear.
We found that in the personal freedom of student and teacher matters a lot. ie in Dadaab they study under a shade irrespective of insecurity.
Freire said becoming a teacher is having confidence. In Syria the teacher teaches under frightening and traumatic situation and cannot leave in need of their students.
Education must begin with the solution of teacher-student reconciliation (Freire) which is what we noted in both war torn areas.
Education will prosper when there is good leadership.
