Attention to gender and equity issues will be made by modeling inclusive practices and exploring possibilities for inclusion of female voices in teaching practices across subjects areas.
A POEM FROM FREIRE’S LETTER TO THOSE WHO DARE TO TEACHERS.
Fear, fear, fear.
Fear is abstract.
fear, you cannot see
You cannot smell fear
You cannot hear fear
You as well cannot touch fear
But
Everyone feels fear
How is this possible?
When you cannot see, touch, hear, smell or taste.
It is emotional balance or lack of scientific competence,
Fear is fiction as well as feeling insecurity
Fear, fear, fear.
Fear causes one to panic and
Yet panic is a state of mind that paralyzes
an individual’s face with challenges.
But it has a solution by its challenges
and it depends on one’s ability to respond.
