QuEST goals 1 and 2: Characterizing current state of QES curriculum in EOAS, and quantitative Earth sciences more generally across academia and the professions. Sections include:
- Curriculum: current QES curriculum within UBC’s Department of EOAS.
- Context: the current state of QES disciplines and careers within UBC and beyond,
- Early priorities: Summarizes priorities established by EOAS faculty early in (and in some cases before) the QuEST project, including the capabilities or “desirable skills” that they consider important for QES undergraduates
- Desirable skills: discussion of what industry and academic contributors say students need upon graduating as geoscientists.
