Current QES curricula at EOAS & careers

QuEST goals 1 and 2: Characterizing current state of QES curriculum in EOAS, and quantitative Earth sciences more generally across academia and the professions. Sections include:

  1. Curriculum: current QES curriculum within UBC’s Department of EOAS.
  2. Context: the current state of QES disciplines and careers within UBC and beyond,
  3. Early priorities: Summarizes priorities established by EOAS faculty early in (and in some cases before) the QuEST project, including the capabilities or “desirable skills” that they consider important for QES undergraduates
  4. Desirable skills: discussion of what industry and academic contributors say students need upon graduating as geoscientists.
