Background
Manpreet attended UBC from 2008-2012 and received a certificate of completion from UBC in collaboration with STEPS Forward. While at UBC Manpreet’s studies were focused in Sociology.
Volunteer and work experience
Manpreet has volunteered with the South Vancouver Policing Centre for the past 12 years. She performs data entry and other administrative tasks.
For the past three years, Manpreet volunteered with the BC Cerebral Palsy Association. Although she no longer volunteers with them on a weekly basis, Manpreet is still very much involved in outreach and fundraising for the association, including taking part in Steptember:
Steptember is a 4 week health and wellness initiative that incorporates teamwork and physical activity. Get active by taking 10,000 steps a day for 28 days through various activities to raise funds for people with cerebral palsy!
Manpreet’s fundraising team is called the Walk and Rollers 2.0 and her fundraising goal this year is $300. Visit her team page if you are interested in contributing towards her $300 fundraising goal!
Interests
Manpreet enjoys spending her free time hanging out with friends watching movies on Netflix and at the cinema. Comedies are her favourite.
She has a sweet tooth, and especially loves Smarties ice cream!
