We are well underway in planning for a significant upgrade to our 2nd floor Enrolment Services space. This post will provide some background on the continued planning process of the project.

We need to update our ageing infrastructure including desks, chairs, security, kitchen, carpet, ceiling tiles, lighting, electrical, data, ventilation, heating, sound etc and build a space that further meets our current needs and fosters future growth. A funding opportunity has now become available with the SASI project to help facilitate this process. The space will feature increased seating capacity, new meeting spaces, collaborative spaces, semi-private and alternate staff work zones being mindful of unique unit needs. The layout will be flexible, with easily configurable desks, partitions and ergonomic furniture.

In upcoming posts we will be covering key dates and share exercises that that are part of the space assessment including traffic pattern analysis, sound assessments, light sustainability, A/V and technological additions, network and electrical upgrades as well as updates from our space experts Project Services Manager Carlo Finamore and Urban Arts architectural firm. We will further share more visuals, colour schemes and furniture details as they become available. Unit Directors in the immediate space are currently working through update sessions with their teams.

This is a space for our entire team, regardless of campus or current location. The new space will compliment and support the work that we all do. Stay tuned, as there will be more opportunities in the coming weeks to hear more and to provide feedback at unit specific meetings, ES Stand-Up meetings and via the ES Connected blog!
