Professional Background: I am a graduate of SFU’s Communications Program (sorry, UBC!), but I have been a UBC employee for almost 13 years (I began working here when I was 11 ;)). I was the Event and Marketing Manager at UBC Robson Square for 8 years and most recently a Communications Coordinator for the Faculty of Medicine. In all my years with the University I have never actually worked on campus until now. I’m so excited to be here!
Personal Background: I am a born and raised Vancouverite…I spent quite a bit of time travelling in my 20s, living in both Ireland (where I met my husband) and Australia. We currently live in East Vancouver, near Main Street, with our two kiddos (Cait, 9, and Asher, 7) and our Australian Shepherd (Bowie). We do lots of hiking and camping as a family and I love trying new restaurants around town. I’m always interested to hear about people’s “hidden gems” in the city – and am happy to share mine!
