Working from home can sometimes pose unique challenges. While there are many of us who have the privilege of working from home on occasion, and many others who have not before had the opportunity, doing so full-time due to a global pandemic is a completely new scenario to all of us!

Luckily there are a lot of resources available on the web for each of us to help overcome our own individual challenges. Some key pieces of advice that have often been shared are:

  • Maintain your routine as much as possible
  • Designate a space in your home as your workspace, and keep it there
  • Keep in touch with your colleagues – set up virtual coffee dates!
  • Stay active – go for a walk or take a few minutes to do some stretches or activity

Check out this CBC article for even more advice! Do you have any of your own top tips or advice? Consider submitting them here by the end of this week so they can be shared back with the wider UBC community in the next edition of UBC Today!
