YES, I would invest in this venture.
Compared to Real Simple Edu, this pitch was very clear, contained some emotion and gave me a clear idea of what the product could do. By the end of the pitch I understood why it was named Evernote and I could see its application in Education and beyond. Evernote would definitely be worth a deeper look, especially how it planned to make money. A $5 membership a month is pretty cheap, and not even necessary to use the app. The concept of Evernote is great and something I’m considering using for myself.

I agree. This was a great pitch. I felt his confidence in his product and I was able to get a very good sense of what it was about. Although I have been using Evernote for a long time, I would also support this venture!

I too see the value in this venture, and also believe the pitch was up to par. It definitely can be useful in the education realm, but I also see this being of great use in everyday life for everyday people. I’m in!

No, I would not invest in this venture.
I use Evernote, and it is a great product indeed. As for the pitch, it is addressed to the customers not investors. The CEO seems like a friendly and honest fellow, but gives no information indicating that he has the expertise to manage the venture. Evernote’s cross platform capabilities and the fact that they were among the first to launched this type product (not mentioned in the pitch) gave it an edge in capturing a share of the market. However, the recent launch of Google Keep, backed by the all mighty Google machine, is going to capture the elephant share of the market. Also, with could computing products developing at hurricane speed, it is likely that Evernote’s will get smaller or confined to a small niche of the market. Again there are no indication in the pitch of any strategy to grow or to specialize. Although Evernote is already well established, the rise of the competition will likely cause it to shrink rather than grow (another Blackberry in the making). For that reason, I’m out!

No, I would not invest in the venture. I downloaded Evernote a while back ago, I couldn’t really use the product because I felt like there were other applications that could replace it – like Dropbox, recorder on iPhone etc. For that reason, and after watching this video, it supports that this product does not distinguish itself from competitors. I agree that the CEO seems really honest – I had trouble understanding the revenue generated part – so paid users would get more space – but I would how many users would sign up for the service – assuming that the free version would not be enough to store al the information?
