Hello everyone!
I am Jenny Papadakis, from Ottawa, Canada. I am currently an Occasional Teacher with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, and I also work part time as an Instructional Designer for a small instructional design company. I enjoy both roles very much, but my true passion is teaching, and I would love to have a full time teaching position in the next few years (fingers crossed)!
This is my 6th MET course. I am very excited to learn about new and emerging technologies in ed-tech, and also to apply my learning to my role as an instructional designer.
I look forward to learning with everyone this term!
Below I have attached a couple of photos from my recent honeymoon to Vietnam:
Hi Jenny, it is nice to e-meet you. Congrats on your recent marriage and honeymoon! My boss recently vacationed there and brought back some wonderful coffee for cà phê nâu đá (iced coffee with condensed milk) and some small metal drip filters. It was lovely. Hope you enjoyed your trip, and look forward to learning with you : )
Nice to e-meet you too! 🙂 It’s hilarious that you mentioned the coffee! My husband and I became obsessed with it while we were there and brought back the drip filters, coffee, and condensed milk for all of our family to try 🙂
Hi Jenny,
Nice to meet you. Are teaching jobs stagnant in Ottawa, like Toronto?
What are your teachable? Good luck for next year!!!
Best, Mehdia
Hi Jenny!
Nice pictures! I look forward to working with you again 🙂
Hey Jenny,
I hope you had a good break! I’m glad to see you in this class!
I’m not sure it’s as bad as Toronto – I lived in Toronto up until this past October actually, and applied to the board for the past 4 years with no luck. I have been lucky here in Ottawa (but perhaps my enrolment in the MET program helped?).
My teachables are History and English 🙂 Thank you and good to meet you! 🙂
Hi Nick!! Good to see you too! 🙂 My break was great! How was yours? 🙂
Thanks Kuljinder! It’ll be great to work with you again! )
