Question and Answer

Does anyone know how to edit a review?

Hi Everyone,

I don’t normally consider myself technologically deficient, but I can’t for the life of me find the edit button after I’ve posted. The issue stems from an earlier error I made when posting a review of LittleBits. Midway through the review, I accidentally hit the ‘enter’ key, thinking I would start a new paragraph, but instead I submitted my post.

As you can see, I now have two posts, which were just meant to be one. Is there a way I can go back an edit it? It’s not the end of the world if I can’t, but I just wanted to know for future reference.

Thanks in advance,

Hi Yik Wah, it’s possibly a setting or quirk in the reviews plugin that doesn’t allow for easy editing, so it’s not you!
At the moment this needs to be done in the WP back end (dashboard) rather than on the front end (website view).
You can edit a review by going to: Dashboard > Pulse > All Pulses
Locate yours in the list, but before you click anything:

In the example image below, you can see that hovering over your own review title, displays the “edit button” to edit your review(a.k.a pulse). You want to click this edit button on the left below your title, not the one on the right (as this one will edit the original post which might not be yours).

Recommend you edit first to verify you’re in the right review, then once inside you can hit “move to trash” to delete the extra one. If you ever find yourself accidentally in someone else’s post/review you can always hit cancel to exit. Hope that helps? : )

    Hi Bobbi,

Thank you for your suggestion! I have used WP before, but it was much less daunting when it was for personal consumption.
