Hello!
I know there are a lot of people in this course with diverse experience using video tools online – so I wanted to pick your brain. I have a video due for another course, and used videoscribe (7 day trial, and i have two days left) — for my initial video, it allowed me to upload it to Youtube. The second video, I wanted to upload to Youtube today and the option was gone…
I am trying to figure out another way to give my professor access… I uploaded it to the Scribes online account, but it still does not allow anyone to view it…
This is new territory for me, so I was hoping someone would know more.
Any info would be great ASAP! thanks,
Erin
I’m not a user of Videoscribe, but make sure you’re logged into Youtube first then try again? Also check Videoscribe menus to see if there’s a place where you put your Youtube login details, or to connect accounts. Some apps (even windows movie maker) now integrate Youtube login right into the app, which has to be completed in the menus before uploading. Online apps often rely on associated logins based on the same IP address, but it isn’t apparent anywhere. So, if you’re not logged in to the destination service, it can detect this and the option is missing. Also, by storing in the cloud, do you mean through Videoscribe or some other service? Make sure you are logged into all relevant services. Otherwise, you might have to subscribe for a month then cancel your membership. I couldn’t see any limitations placed on the trial portion (other than the number of days), so this is what leads me to suspect it’s a login/related service issue.
Cloud — videoscribe site, and my only option there is to download to my desktop as a “.scribe” I did try this, but my computer would not open it.
THANKS Bobbi, I will check that out! I appreciate you writing so quickly.
You might also try Vimeo.

Do you have access to the “export” features shown at about 0:40 in this video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OPr5iG4T8h0
It shows that you should be able to export for quicktime or flv for youtube (the png options likely wouldn’t work out well).
