In this introduction to our “Roots to Partnership” podcast series, we hear from students (Shiayli, Emily, Anastasia and Wei) about some of the differences between “traditional” pedagogy and community-engaged learning. We also hear from a community partner (William) and a student who’s doing a cooperative education placement at UBC’s Learning Exchange (Abyan). Finally, the co-hosts, Stephanie Glick and Alison Taylor, talk about the reasons for this series and themes in subsequent podcasts.
