Congratulations to ISRL undergraduate researchers Elisabeth Kang, Linda Wu, and Nicole Ebbutt for being selected to give an oral presentation titled ‘An Analysis of Vowel Space in English Speakers with Alzheimer’s Disease: Toward Building an Automatic Detection Model’ at UBC’s February 2021 Language Sciences Undergraduate Research Conference.

The Council of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) elected Bryan Gick as an AAAS fellow. The title recognizes Prof Gick’s important contributions to experimental phonetics. The lifetime distinction will be celebrated virtually at the AAAS Annual Meeting February 13th, 2020. https://www.aaas.org/news/aaas-announces-leading-scientists-elected-2020-fellows
