Last part of Jeju Island (:
On Sunday we decided to do the stuff that Stef had wanted to do on Jeju Island. We were originally going to the Dol Hareubang Park near Jeju City, but the hostel owner recommended us to go Jeju Stone Park instead as it was closer and it still had the dol hareubangs that Stef wanted to see. We were lucky because we got in for free since it was a long weekend!
Stef got her dol hareubangs (:
Then we decided to take the bus to Jeju City for lunch just to see what was there… but as the bus went through the city to the intercity bus terminal we realized that it was super dead in the city – maybe because it was Sunday and everyone rests on Sunday.
So we just found a random restaurant and had gogi guksu for lunch, something that I had wanted to eat while on Jeju Island.
Then we decided since there was a lot less stuff to do in Jeju City than we initially thought, we would go to G-Dragon’s cafe even though it was really out of the way.
The food there was delicious and the view was great too π I can only imagine how nice it would have been if it was sunny!
We also walked along the beach, and I was going to climb down amongst the rocks like I usually do but I discovered these huge bugs that looked like cockroaches and immediately decided against climbing down.
Then we wanted to go back to Jeju City but we got confused on how to go back… and it ended up taking us over an hour to even get on the bus to go back.
We probably ended up spending half of our day on the bus, but it was okay because we had a good time anyways.
For dinner we ended up finding a place with dumplings and kimbap and ate that for dinner.
Then to end off our day we had a milk flavoured Melona since none of us had ever seen that flavour before, not even in Seoul!

We were supposed to leave on Monday, so first thing we did was check out of our room and leave our bags in the storage. Then we made our way to the Osulloc Tea Museum, which is hosted by Amorepacific, the cosmetics company. We had to take a taxi there, and the taxi driver was extremely talkative – meaning I had to use my poor Korean to communictte with him. But he was really nice, and it was good practice for me as well!
There was an Innisfree in the vicinity of the museum, and we went there just to look around. Claudia and Stef decided to make their own soaps as souvenirs, and I opted out of that and just stamped some postcards while I waited (even though it was only supposed to be one per person, heh).
By the time they were done making their soap we were all really hungry so we went to eat… but there were only desserts there T.T So we all ended up having a Hallabong O’Fredo (which is like a screamer), a matcha roll cake, and an ice cream. It cost us 17 000KRW per person… but I will look over the damage to my wallet since the desserts were really yummy.
Then we went and took some pictures in the green tea fields and we all looked like Innisfree models since we all happened to be wearing white t-shirts that day π
Then we took the taxi to the Cheonjiyeon waterfall, which was near our hostel. Like really close to our hostel – it took us less than 10 minutes to walk back.
It was so peaceful and nice there! The walk wasn’t too strenuous either so it was a really good way to end off our trip.
Then we grabbed our stuff and headed off to the airport to head home! We thought we might be able to catch an earlier flight but we couldn’t, so we just chilled at the airport until it was time to leave. We had dinner there as well – I just grabbed a udon.
While sitting at the airport our friends told us that Running Man was filming in our school gym and all of us wanted to cry T.T
Also, while we were waiting for the plane to take off I noticed that an ahjumma near us was eating oranges and I just commented on it in English to Claudia and Stef… and then the ahjumma ended up giving us a piece each of her orange ;A;
Koreans are nicer than I thought they are! They might push on the street and on the subway but they also will give you random oranges on the plane π
Going back home I was really tired so I just suggested we take a taxi back home instead of taking the subway.. and we got another talkative taxi driver. But again, good practice for my Korean!
But all in all going to Jeju was fun, with good company and good food and good experiences (: If the weather had been nicer we could have done a lot more things, like water activities, but I’m still glad we did everything we did during the trip!
