Reminder: Use Your UBC Student Email Account for Publications and Graduate Student Needs

Standard

***Sent on behalf of Edmund Seow, IT Manager, LFS Learning Centre***

Hello LFS graduate students,

This is a reminder to any student who is currently employed at UBC and has a UBC email account set up for work purposes. This could be in one of the following formats: cwl_id@mail.ubc.ca or first-name.last-name@ubc.ca account.

When your work term as a staff member is finished, access to this address will be deactivated shortly afterwards.

For that reason, we encourage you to use the UBC student email service with the student alias (cwl_id@student.ubc.ca) for your student needs and for all of your publications. The student email account will continue to be available to you after you complete your program and are no longer with UBC.

More information on the student email service can be found on this UBC IT page. hxxps://it.ubc.ca/services/email-voice-internet/ubc-student-email-service

[Copy the url and paste it into a browser’s address bar without the hxxps]

Sincerely,

Edmund Seow
