The BC Shellfish Growers Association (BCSGA) is currently seeking proposals for an industry benchmarking study aimed at providing BC shellfish farmers with practical tools to assess and improve their farm performance.

We believe this project could be an excellent opportunity for a graduate student with expertise in aquaculture, agriculture, or resource economics to gain hands-on experience in industry research while making a meaningful contribution to the sector.

Key aspects of the project include:

• Collecting and analyzing farm-level data to develop benchmarking metrics.
• Providing comparative insights to help farmers assess productivity, costs, and profitability.
• Ensuring findings are presented in a practical, farmer-friendly format.
