TO GRADUATE PROGRAM STAFF:
As you may know, information about June 1 immigration changes to study and work permits continues to develop. Citizenship and Immigration Canada has posted an update about the new regulations. The message below was sent to all international students at both Vancouver and Okanagan campuses yesterday. Two key messages for staff and faculty who work with international students are that:
- UBC is working on the definitions corresponding to the new immigration regulations and students can expect to receive updates from us in late May, and
- we have certified immigration consultants in our offices at both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan, and you and your students are welcome to consult with us at any time.
