Jill Robinson, MA Clinical Psychology

Jill completed her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Psychology at the University of Regina in 2014. She joined the Clinical Psychology Program at UBCO in 2016 in pursuit of education in Clinical Psychology under the supervision of Dr. Marvin Krank. Jill successfully defended her Masters thesis on cognitions about cannabis in adolescents in 2018 and is currently in her first year of the PhD program. Jill’s general research interests include substance (alcohol and cannabis) use and abuse in teen and adult populations. She is also interested in substance prevention programs in those who are at risk of developing substance use problems. When Jill isn’t studying she can be found walking her Siberian Husky and Alaskan Klee Kai or searching for the best spinach dip in Kelowna.

Maya Pilin 

Maya completed her Honours B.A. in Psychology at the University of Ottawa in spring 2017 and joined UBCO in fall 2017 to begin her M.A. in Psychological Science under the supervision of Dr. Krank. Maya’s research interests include substance abuse in adolescents and the role of implicit associations in the development of substance use disorders. In her spare time, Maya enjoys films, reading, and traveling.

Tatiana Sanchez

Tatiana completed her Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology from McGill University in 2016. She is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Psychology under Dr. Krank and Dr. Walsh’s co-supervision. Her research focuses on cognitions surrounding substance use – especially cannabis use – in youth and young adults. In her spare time she likes to read (favourite authors include Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie and Roxane Gay), listen to music (mostly Beyoncé and Cardi B), and cook.
