Sarah Daniels completed her BA with Honours in Psychology in our lab. As an experienced yoga teacher, she is interested in the interplay between yoga and psychology and how different yogic practices can support mental health. Her honours thesis evaluated Mindful Rest Therapy, a yoga-nidra based practice, for its efficacy in reducing problematic alcohol use through mediating factors in this behaviour. When she isn’t at school or teaching yoga, you can find her snowboarding, paddleboarding or hiking.

Kateryna completed her BA in Psychology at UBCO. Originally from Montreal, QC, Kate relocated to the Okanagan to pursue her passion and interest in mental health studies. Her main area of research interest is in examining the availability and quality of substance use services for children and youth of diverse populations. With this research, Kate plans to enhance the quality of mental health services by providing culturally sensitive treatment options for people with substance use disorders. She worked on a directed studies project which focused on the affect misattribution procedure (AMP) alongside Dr. Krank and Master’s student Jill Robinson. In her spare time, Kate likes to do film editing, and to work on her Salamba Sirasana in her yoga practice.
