comPADRE Digital Library

A few words about comPADRE and the impact on WWW on improving science teaching and learning: I think this digital resource is one of the most powerful applications of technology to physics teaching that happened over the past decade. Thanks to the input of the physics and astronomy education community comPADRE became a number 1 stop for physics and astronomy teachers. While there are lots of resources on physics and astronomy teaching on the web, finding the right one can be overwhelming at times.  It might be even more overwhelming to find colleagues who might want to collaborate with you on a specific physics or astronomy education research project.  So this is where comPADRE comes in. It will help you find the right resource, teaching materials or colleagues to collaborate with. And I am very proud to say that comPADRE would not have happened if not for the support of the American Association of Physics Teachers. So visit the Digital Library and may be you will also become a contributor.

I would like to acknowledge the people whose leadership helped the project become a reality: Dr. Bruce Mason (AAPT and APS), Dr. Susana Deustua (AAS), Dr. Warren Hein (AAPT), Dr. Jack Hehn (AIP), Dr. Theodore Hodapp (APS).
