World Teachers’ Day – October 5, 2012
I just found out that October 5th has been designated by UNESCO as World Teachers’ Day. I was glad that it is an official day and many great teachers all over the world will be recognized today. Teachers play such an important role in our lives… I also hope that Teachers who inspire their students to do the best they can and reach to the stars will be recognized not just today but also the rest of the year. I would like to dedicated this post to a person who is a very special Teacher in my life. This person is my mom (Marina L. Bolotina) who is a mathematics and science teacher. My mom is an inspiration to me as a person who is always curious, creative, who is a real Teacher. My mom loves learning and she has a unique way of sharing her passion for learning with others. For my mom teaching has never been a profession, but has always been a true passion. Mom, I would like to wish you and all the amazing teachers throughout the world a very special Teachers’ Day!!! We value your work and we are grateful you exist! (BTW, my mom in addition to being a math and science teacher has a passion for languages: she learned English, Hebrew, some French and Spanish…). She is always ready to learn something new… I am very proud of my mom.
