CPABC is calling all BC and Yukon post-secondary students!

Are you ready to tackle real-world business challenges and compete for cash prizes up to $2,400? Gather your teammates and join the CPABC Business Case Competition to showcase your problem-solving skills and innovative ideas.

The competition is a business strategy case competition consisting of two rounds. The top 8 teams from the First Round will be invited to compete in the Final Round at the CPABC office in downtown Vancouver, followed by an evening networking and celebration reception at Shangri-La Vancouver. In addition to the top 8 teams, another 32 teams will be invited to the evening reception. This is a fantastic opportunity to network with sponsors, invited CPAs, and fellow students.

These events are designed to help new international students, as well as Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents, obtain their SIN and access valuable information about benefits available to them.

Join this comprehensive session to learn everything you need to know about obtaining your SIN, applying online, and getting support from Service Canada.

Need help obtaining your SIN? Service Canada agents will be available on campus to assist with your SIN application.

  • Location: UBC Life Building, Room 1501
  • How: Register online by December 18, 2024 (subject to availability).

During the clinic, agents from Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will be available to provide information on benefits and credits available to students, including the GST/HST credit, Tuition Tax Credit, BC Renter’s Tax Credit, and Disability Tax Credit.

Volunteering Opportunity:

Students interested in volunteering can email Prerna.bedi@ubc.ca with their preferred date and shift time. No experience is required, and training will be provided.
