Reminder – Careers in Accounting workshop series concludes on Tuesday, November 29th with Workshop 7 (Navigating Job Offers, Salary & Your Future)

As a reminder, we are offering a 7-part workshop series this term, which started on Tuesday, September 20th. This workshop series is comprised of 7 sequential workshops that will take you through each step of the career planning process, corresponding to one or more of our Career Toolkits. Not sure how to get started on the accounting career path? Don’t miss this opportunity for tailored guidance and exclusive tips to start you on your way!

The final workshop in this series will be held this Tuesday, November 29th and will focus on navigating offers.

Many students find themselves having to consider more than one job offer following their job search process. Whether you receive one or more is yet to be seen, but how you prepare now will make all the difference when your offer(s) come.

Learn and apply the strategies of comparing, accepting and declining job offers and how to stay connected with the companies you remain interested in while you are waiting for other companies to respond.

Learn how to prepare for and initiate a salary discussion and negotiate salary when possible. Utilize strategies to evaluate job offers and seize the best opportunities. Then as a Sauder DAP Alumni, see how you can leverage your success for your future and for others.

This workshop will be fully virtual and will be held from 4:45 to 6:15 pm PT and registration will be open on COOL until 11:59 pm on Monday, November 28th.
